The Story
According to figures issued by the Commerce Ministry on Friday, India's imports of crude oil rose dramatically from April to November this fiscal year, rising by 52.58 percent to $146.57 billion. The nation's exports increased by a constant 0.59 percent to $31.99 billion in November. The month's trade deficit increased to $23.89 billion.
The government responded to the new data by stating that it routinely met with Indian diplomats abroad as well as export promotion councils to review the nation's performance on the export front.
FMCG
The Story:
Reliance Consumer Products, the FMCG arm of Reliance retail, announced the launch of its made-for-India consumer packaged goods brand 'Independence' in Gujarat. The company will sell products ranging from staples to processed foods and other daily essentials, it said in a statement. It plans to develop Gujarat as a 'go-to-market' state to create excellence in execution for its FMCG business and will be rolling out the brand nationally soon. In the coming months, the company plans to step up the launch to cover FMCG retailers across Gujarat

The Story:
Triumph India, a manufacturer of motorcycles, has announced that it has begun to take pre-orders for its new Street Triple 765 line. Customers who are interested may pre-book any of the Triumph dealerships' motorcycle models for a flat fee of 50,000. The Street Triple R and RS are the two variations of the Triumph Street Triple that are offered. These motorcycles will make their debut in March 2023, and deliveries will start in April 2023.
Interestingly, the Street Triple range's engine receives a significant upgrade. A revised combustion chamber, a higher compression ratio, higher cylinder pressure limitations, and new pistons are now included with the engine. The Street Triple R and Street RS both have a maximum power of 128 bhp and 118 horsepower, respectively. The production of torque increases from 79 to 80 Nm. These motorcycles' gearing has also been modified for increased responsiveness and acceleration.

The Story:
Io, a moon of Jupiter, contains volcanoes that shoot lava hundreds of kilometers into the air and lakes of molten silicon lava. NASA's Juno mission is about to examine Io. NASA claims that the volcanic activity on Jupiter's moon Io, which will be the focus of Juno's attention for the next 1.5 years, is the highest in the solar system.
The first of the mission's nine scheduled flybys will take place on December 15th. In two of these nine, the spaceship will be travelling just 1,500 kilometers above the surface of the moon.
The flybys will allow mission scientists to conduct the first high-resolution monitoring campaign of Io, investigating its volcanoes and how its volcanic eruptions interact with the surrounding environment.

The story of human evolution has been one of the biggest mysteries on the planet, and it is one that keeps getting interesting. Researchers have now found that humans might not have learned to walk on two legs on the land. Instead, their upright walk developed on trees.
The team, as part of the study, recorded more than 13,700 instantaneous observations of positional behaviour from 13 adult chimpanzees, including almost 2,850 observations of individual locomotor events. The 15-month-long study saw the team used the relationship between tree/land-based behaviour and vegetation (forest vs woodland) to investigate patterns of association.
Researchers, however, say why humans, alone amongst the apes, first began to walk on two feet still remains a mystery.
